Recently, in the month of August, there was an outbreak of Hepatitis A that affected 55 people. The source of this outbreak was frozen strawberries imported from Egypt. As stated by the CDC, there are between 1,700 and 2,800 cases reported each year. However, there is a vaccine for this infection considering that there was a 95% decrease in the rates because of it. Hopefully, in the future, food handlers and companies will pay extra attention to the safety of their consumers and the safety of their food.
